Accuracy Lab
We believe "accurate" should be verifiable, not just claimed. Here is how we approach calculation accuracy.
Deterministic Results
The same birth details, with the same engine version, always produce the same chart. There is no randomness, no caching variation, and no AI influence on calculation results.
Version Control
Every chart includes its engine version. If we update our calculation methods, existing charts retain their original version — they are not silently recalculated.
Testing in Progress
We are building a comprehensive test suite covering: identical input produces identical output; historical timezone handling; boundary dates near solar terms; and unknown time mode behavior. Golden fixtures will be validated by domain experts.
Known Limitations
Our V1 implementation uses standard UTC offsets for timezone handling — historical DST corrections are planned for a future update. Solar term boundaries use approximate dates. Element presence counts should not be interpreted as strength or weakness. We are transparent about what is and is not yet validated.
Improving Accuracy
We maintain a list of areas for improvement. If you find a calculation that appears incorrect, please contact us — we take accuracy seriously and will investigate every report.
